Orange and Red

tgcorley Apr 03, 2007 10:05 PM

Here are a few shots with bright colors to brighten up a drizzly evening in southeastern Pennsylvania. First is an adult male corn snake I own, second is a freshly-shed '06 MSP female I picked up this summer, and last one of my favorite orchids, which I got to bloom this year. Gee, I guess I'm partial to those colors . . .

Dang dude those are all three bright. That's about the first Corn snake that ever made me want a Corn snake.

Rick -- thanks for the compliment on the corn. He's an '05 Abbott strain from Don Soderberg. I've had corn snakes off and on since the late 1960s, but this is a truly amazing strain of corn selected for bright colors and bold black borders around the saddles.

I admit that it was the most brightly colored thayeri that attracted me first, but I have since developed an appreciation for the more subdued (wild-type) morphs. I confess, I'm now hooked on thayeri. But it is a cool addiction, no? -- Tom

Whoa! Those are some awesome pictures. I'm partial to the leonis phase thayeri, but that is one MSP that I wouldn't mind at all having in my collection. I really like how a couple of the orange "bands" don't quite connect at the top.

The orchids are very pretty too, nice job!

All three are truly stunning. If you don't mind me asking did the msp come from Don Soderburg off of the laredo line?
thanks for sharing the pic's. I love this forum the best because we share all sorts of pic's.

I'm a real MSP fan and your MSP is really nice. I really like those thin orange pinstripes and he has an excellent head pattern to boot. All three of those pics are nice. Good camera work.
