striggs Apr 04, 2007 09:02 AM

I've read somewhere that a blood someone rescued was dehydrated. How can you tell if your blood is dehydrated ?

There are a couple of signs. Really bad is when the snake looks shrunk, stuck sheds, the scales do not look plump instead they look dimpled. It even can cause RI symptoms. If you feel your snake might be, but not bad, I recommend putting it in a container with water for about 30 mins (make sure the container has air holes of course).

They get wriknles in theyre skin when theyre getting dehaydrated you have to make sure itt not fat wirnkles though, but you should be able to tell the two apart easily, also dehydrated snakes seem to yawn often in my experience.
