My young (about 14 inch) albino honduran pulled a bit of a trick on me the other day. I had got him out and put him in his container for feeding and started to toss his two frozen thawed pinkies inside. He is a voracious feeder and when i slightly lifted the lid he lunged and grabbed the second pinkie i was placing inside. As I moved my hand he was drawn to it as well. I couldn't put the lid back on it because when he lunged he had knocked the pinkie outside and was hanging over the rim of the container. He was in feeding mode and very aggressive so I was hesitant to grab him. I know it wouldn't hurt that much for him to bite me as he is still pretty small, but i was more concerned about him misinterpreting my finger which smelled of pinkie for the pinkie itself. So i let him feed on the pinkie, which he devoured on top of my rack, and then got his attention with the second pinkie which was still in the lidless container and when he roamed in their to get the second pinkie i lifted the container and placed it and him back in his rack. Did i act like a total wuss here, should i have just picked him up and put him back up or would most of you have done something along the same lines?

I think I would have just reacted to his being loose and got bit. I doubt I would have thought it through like you did. Kudos to your quick thinking, rather then just reacting.
