DECORATIVE leo enclosure examples please

Hi. I've always been a "plastic tub, paper towels, bowl o' water, cardboard and tupperware hides, dish o' calcium and a lif full o' mealies" kinda guy. Almost like I'm a breeder that has no time to decorate anything because I have so many leos. But the fact is I do, I only have 3 leos, and I just have no idea what to put inside.

I walked by a fish shop and they were selling reptile tanks for really cheap. High quality lockable sliding door display tanks with removable sides and top for what is equivalent to USD$20 bucks. So of course I bought a few wanting to turn my leos from "things I feed" to "centerpieces of my room". However, after I set the darn thing up, all I ended up with was a great tank with paper towels, bowl o' water, cardboard and tupperware hides, dish o' calcium and a lif full o' mealies. Same old crap. Looks like crap.

I really don't know what to do with it to make it look better. Please can some of you post some pictures to give me an idea.

Oh yeah, and the tanks are perfect floorspace to house leos, but are a bit tall. I wonder if there is any way I can utilize the vertical space. I know they are not arboreal, but perhaps some kind of platforms or something?

You could measure the floor space, and get some tile to lay down on the bottom, which always looks nice . . . pet stores have natural looking caves and hides, or you could make your own by slathering plaster over margarine tubs, then painting and sealing them . . . you could make a platform out of tile too, making sure that the pieces are sealed together so nothing heavy falls on your leo . . . fake plants are always nice . . . the gardening center at Walmart sometimes has some neat looking garden decorations that could look good in a tank too . . .

well, as I dont have any pictures I cant show you. But I have a slate setup.

Just took a piece of cardboard and cut it down the the floor size of my tank. Which is a 20 long. Took the cardboard cutout, found a local pet store who had a pretty decent sized selection of slate, talked to him, let him know my idea, and he let me sift through the slate and then I was able to fill the florring.

From different stored I picked up some stone looking hides, and a stone bg from Petsmart. topped off the cracks w/ black calci sand and there i go.

Yeap, thanks. I do think I want to put fake plants, rocks, driftwood etc. in there. I just wanted to see some pics of other people's setup so that I can have some inspiration. Especially on the design on the platform.

Just don't put to much clutter as leos will have a hard time hunitng the crix they will just hide in everything.

Sorry i have no setup pics i use papertowels and cardboard and so on. Easy and cheap!

I've done a plaster landscape for Gibby, I'm waiting for all the fumes from the sealant to air out before putting it in her tank . . . I'll post a picture when it's in . . . should be about a week . . .
