PARAGOULD DAILY PRESS (Arkansas) 13 August 03 Missouri showman travels with the 'most venomous snakes in the world'
Paragould: Danny England, owner of International Attractions, says he has built a show that he would have liked to have seen when he was a child.
"I've built a show that I wish, as a little boy, would have come to my town, but it never came," said the owner of the traveling show that carries "the most venomous snakes in the world," and features a 14-foot King Cobra, as well as 20-foot pythons, lizards, and the "biggest, dangerous crocodiles and alligators." His Nile crocodile is 13 1/2 feet long and weighs 1,000 pounds. Unusual reptiles in the display are an albino diamondback rattlesnake and two albino cobras. According to a sign, a King Cobra can kill a grown elephant with a single bite, and grows to 18-feet long. England, of Cassville, Mo. is set up on U.S. 412, by Bonanza, and will be there until Saturday. He has been showing his snakes for 26 years, and travels throughout the United States, displaying them three to four months of the year.
While he has always liked reptiles, the "ultimate" enjoyment comes from watching his customers enjoy the display. "That's the ultimate, bringing enjoyment to everyone else," England said.
And even though England has numerous venomous reptiles, he says he has never been bitten. "It's all in the handling," he said. "They are all comfortable with me, and I am comfortable with them, also."
