What Kind?

ravenfrady Apr 05, 2007 03:25 AM

i was fostering a snake because of an eye problem that a few good sheds cleared up. There was i bit of confusion at to exactly what kind of snake he was. The pet shop owner said the he was a bull the vet said he was a Great Basin Gopher, and the resident snake expert said the he's a Sonoran Gopher. Who is right?

An image of something other than the ventral would be nice.

phew, here I was thinking you were going to actually have an answer to that one, cause yeah, that picture just wasn't telling me anything as far as exactly what it was... Oh I know, it's an evil hybrid!!!

Ok, yeah, a good full dorsal shot in good lighting that is as close up as you can for good detail might help us...

here this one might be better. i was just in the understanding that when it came to these types of snakes the coloration and pattern of the skoots was important when it comes to identification of the snake.

thanks agian

I can't see a picture !

To tell you, what snake it is, it is helpful, to see the top of the head, and the back of the snake.

And i think, the snake have still a problem with her left eye !!

Can't tell that much from that shot. From the looks of that it could be either.
