Moistening Soil

KnoldgReignSuprm Apr 05, 2007 08:24 AM

I remember from an older caresheet or maybe one of those older booklets:
moistening using a "tube" submerged to the bottom of the cage so when you pour the wter it goes to the floor so the bottom is more moist than the top- does anyone remember that? Does anyone do it? waste of time? good or no?

I have heard this to. Not sure of the results though. All i can say is try it for yourself. Just don't put any herps in it till you have your "studies" figured out. Good luck let us know!

Depending on how large your setup is will pretain to how much water you add per week or so. I just add about a gallon of water to my 3x2 setup's sides and let it seep into the ground from there, it will eventually get through the whole tank. Thats where you will need to play around with it for about two weeks before you get a set schedual
