peruvian redtail boa

i have a peruvian boa that will be 3 years old in july. its a female. she is somewhere between 4 and half and 5 feet long. shes been feeding on 1 medium rat every 10 days since last summer. i wanted to know when should i start to feed her 2 medium rats or 1 large rat every ten days. and which one you guys think i should give her. your help and knowlegde will be appreciated.

A 5 footer should be able to take a large rat pretty easily. Just thaw the rat and stretch it out...then look to see if the thickest part of your snake's body is sililar to the thickness of the stretched out rat. If so then you are good to feed it. BCC also tend to do better on one appropriate sized prey item then they do on two or more smaller than they need animals at a time
