I bought 3 1000g females last fall from a guy who turns out ripped me off (Rainforest Reptiles out of florida - bad deal).
He said they were all over 1100 and they all turned out to be under 1000. they were also supposed to be eating on rats and they haven't eaten anything. its been over 4-5 months and they still haven't.
my hope was that maybe it was a seasonal thing and as soon as it got warmer they would start eating. but its warmer and many of my other snakes have resumed feeding. just these ones.
I thought that they might be wild caught, but besides the fact that they aren't eating, they look pretty healthy, shed regularly, and don't have ticks.
What should I do? They are very scared of everything (one does strike at food, but it seems more defensive than anything else).
I bought these to breed and if they dont eat they arent any use to me. Should i try all those fancy "lizard scented whatever" methods (do those usually work)? Do these sounds like wild caughts?
Should i try force feeding at least once to get them going?
