goregrind Apr 06, 2007 02:17 PM

if i had a garder in a large tank with a water filled tub in it stocked with feeders would the snake gorge itself and eat too much or would it take a fish whenever it needs one?

not really sure if I understand your question. you want to know if it would be ok to keep some live fish in your snakes enclosure? I would see no problem with that. snakes know when they have eaten enough. although it might be tough to tell if he/she has ate recently, and be prone to regugitating on you. I'd stick to once a week with whatever you feed. also it's actaully called a garter hope this helps

i was planning on sticking top once a week, i was just thinking of cool display cages and was wondering if it would work.

i know how to spell it but garder is my girlfriends last name, so i tend to mix them up

Depends on the snake. Some garters stop when they are full, others will literally eat 'till they puke. I have one of each.
