Full spectrum UVA/UVB?

bigdave22385 Apr 06, 2007 02:30 PM

Do yall think that full spectrum lighting is necessary for rainbows? I have heard a couple of conflicting opinions from people and figured people who actually own BRB's would eb the right people to ask. Thanks
Dave.

These guys are tropical rainforest ground dwellers. They hide in the leaf litter by day and hunt at night. None of mine have any light beyond difuse light coming in through the window.

K. Good to know. BTW. He has completely recovered from whatever that weirdness was a few weeks ago, has shed, eaten every 5-6 days like a champ. i can barely get my hand out of the box before he gets my fingers too... real active aware and as far as i can tell is doing quite well. I decided spazz was perhaps not the most appriopriate name, went with Pro instead. short for prometheus.

Glad to hear he's doing fine, he'll always be Spazz to me

Yeah it really is tempting to stick with that. I just dont know if I could saddle him with that for the rest of his life... I mean if he repeated the behavior then he would be a spazz actively and that would be okay... but it seems kind of harsh to saddle him with such a name due to one isolated incident... or so my thinkign goes.
