Hey everyone, I noticed something neat and thought I would share this information and see if anyone else has seen similar things happen. So here goes: I have two female panther chameleons that grew up together and I never seperated them into different cages. They get along well, I have never seen either of them act agressive to the other. When I bred my females with my male panther, I bred them two weeks apart. Note that I only bred EACH of them one time. Well the first got pregnant and laid a clutch of eggs, about two and a half weeks later the other laid a clutch of eggs. Three weeks later the first laid another clutch of fertile eggs, followed a couple of weeks later by the second. When all was said and done I had 6 clutchs of eggs across the span of three and a half to four months. This all happened last summer. Now I have bred both females again, the first girl has laid a clutch of eggs and the second should be laying her clutch in the next day or two. And again, the first female appears to be gravid yet again.
What do you make of this? Is it because I have them in the same cage and they get pregnant at different times? Has anyone else seen or heard of this?
Thanks , T.M.
