Automatic misters/foggers for singlecage

BigDave22385 Apr 06, 2007 04:58 PM

Does anyone have any experience with automatic misters or foggers or other humidity incresing doodads? This is for 75 gallon vivarium. I am keeping decent humidity currently, but I would like the added security of not having to be home every six hours to mist the tank.
Thanks
Dave

IMO, you need to set up the tank to automatically provide humidity. I NEVER mist!!!!! Smaller spaces, Damp moss hides, Large surface area water dishes and LIMITED ventilation and my humidity is just fine. At least I believe so since they are thriving, looking fabulous and shedding in single pieces. I also don't own any type of humidity measuring device or gauge.

I've read on the forums that the auto stuff does vibrate and that may bother your BRB. Also, if you are depending on it, you might become complacent and if it fails, maybe not notice it right away????
