Acckk! What's wrong with me, I only have one tortoise?! what to do?...

Niki Aug 13, 2003 12:53 PM

Of course I have a bazillion tortoise/turtle decorations but only
one real tort. My "surrogate" loggerheads on the beach don't
really count, though I do watch their nests (which are hatching
like crazy now!). Teddy's been an only child and center of the
galaxy for almost 4 years now.

what could I do?

What state are you in? Our loggerheads are hatching here too--Palm Beach County, Florida.

Are you happy with one? If so stick with one.

Nikki dont you live in cal? If so why dont you adopt from Turtle Homes. You have the awsome set up for sulcata so i dont see any reason why they wouldent adopt to you.

I read this forum often and I personally love it when you post all those pics of your tortoise and its enclosures.
You are clearly the BEST "tortoise mom". The outdoor cage you had built and re-built bigger are clear indications, along with all the other great things you provide for him.
I really think you should treat yourself & Teddy to a another tortoise -- a big female for Teddy!
