sw55413 May 21, 2003 01:35 PM

my yearling jcp shed her skin recently, but missed some patches. i helped her out of them, as usual, but missed a spot on her belly. now i notice that the skin under there is red, and maybe even bloody. has anyone ever seen a patch of old skin cause an issue like this? advice? any would be appreciated. thanks

on my 02 jcp. I was holding her and noticed a section that was torn up and roughon her underside. Maybe she rubbed something to hard, I don't know. What I did is put triple antibiotic ointment on it every day or two. A couple of sheds later it was gone and it hasen't happened since. I'm sure someone with a little more experience than I will have an idea of what caused it. BrianD
