These are some follow up pictures of the peg board cages I made last week. They have a door that lifts out completely- there are no hinges, frames, etc. Just lift up into the top track enough to pull the bottom out, and drop the acrylic out of the top groove. Just two wooden knobs to handle the door, and set it aside, or use as a shield with a feisty snake. Very simple, and simple construction. I love experimenting with different designs in reptile housing. The objective is always happy animals.
This is the set up for the Cribo on the bottom, a few boxes, dark hide, small water bowl inside the Sterilite tub because he likes to flip it, flop it, spin it, bite it, push it, get under it, toss it, spill it, I wonder if he ever though about drinking from it?

I put one of these thumb thingy- no that’s really the name of these things...
One on each side half way in case the acrylic could be pushed out by a strong colubrid.

After a few hours the Cribo had trashed his new place...He’s peeking out to the left there.
The arboreal Spilote is resting in the box on the floor instead of the two boxes mounted to the ceiling or the wooden perches...

Details of boxes mounted to ceiling- electrical cable ties right through the pegboard holes. Easily replaced, disposable boxes. A few wooden furring strips mounted for climbing and arboreal perches.

This was built with this guy in mind...

The other was for this guy...
