But they are very huge! I breed Stenodactylus sthenodactylus and they are half of them! The geckos being posted on http://www.gekkota.org/html/s__petrii.html are also not really comparable to my animals. As you can see:mine have a very tiny, long tail and pretty huge heads. Other pictures on the internet show petriis that look like S.s. to me. What is your opinion?
May it also be a Crossobamon spec.?
Looking forward to read your answer!

i also thought it was a steno. stheno. (and it still could be)...its really hard to tell the diff. between the two...how big is yours? the ones at desertgeckos.com are definatly petrii's, so compare them... Mine also looks like theirs...ps- gekkota's petriis are inaccurate.

I want to believe,...
But:
They are that much bulier than my S.s. and their tail is much longer. They remind me of Crossobamon eversmanni as you can see on: http://www.rep-japan.co.jp/gecko/gecko01.jpg .
What do you think, now?
Than you very much for your answers!

like most geckos, steno. store some fat in their tails, so it might look alot more thick than long after you feed it more...im still convinced it looks more like a steno., but crossobamon have the same care. Did you buy it from a breeder?

No, there are very few breeders for Stenodactylus species here in germany. I breed S.sthenodactylus and as I saw this animals in my local Zooshop I bought them. I hope they`ll settle in!
