Identifying and sexing spiny tail Iguana

ravenspirit Apr 07, 2007 01:12 PM

Hi - This is Willy, my spiny tail - I have had "Him" for about a year now, and was curious if anyone knew when they are sexable. I am fairly certian "he" is a C. similus. He was a rescue so I do not have any other history on "him" other then "he" was about 10" when the people who purchased him decided to give him up - ("he was a biter and was too agressive for thier son" he is now about 20" total length.

I'd say female C. similis.

I also think a female similis.

But one small question. Is that the viv where you keep her in? What's the size of it, looks a bit small to me..

You have yourself a female... The males have much larger crests, delaps and jowels... She is a Beauty as well... What is her temperment like ?
