jasonmc Apr 07, 2007 08:16 PM

So I went to kingman Az agin looking for snakes. Did'nt find a damn thing! I cannot figure this town out. The tapography is purfect for snakes. The temps were between 61 an 69 degrees, with a half moon.
Who knows, maybe I need to spend more time out their!!!

maybe the snakes just prefer someone who knows how to spell.

just keep trying, even on the most perfect of nights you sometimes have no luck. try when it's a lil warmer.

WOW,
No harm but that sucks! I need to stop typing when I am tired. I wish there was a way to correct what was posted. Oh well. I guess their is worse things then typos. Like going 350 miles and finding no snakes with gas prices at $3.19 a gallon, or in Needles $3.90 a gallon!!!

Well happy hunting and remember to take lots of pics!

WOW!!

Okay, no more complaints from me about our $1.49 here in Central TX! In fact, think I'll go out and start hoarding extra LOL.....

Wow,
Thats how cheep gas is in Texas!!! I think everyone in California who reads this post will be moving out that way as soon as they log off kingsnake. The last time gas was $1.47 a gallon here had to be like the late 80's maybe early 90's.
On the news the other night, they were saying gas was going over $4.00 a gallon in parts of San Francisco.
Here in Cali, people are really having to think about where they are driving before they go. I dont know a single driver here who dosent think about the gas situation before they get in their car.

Check out the Grey-Bandded King Forum and you'll see that legislation is now being considered that would have the effect (intentional or unintentional) of making road-hunting for reptiles illegal! We're in the fight of our lives here.

Bummer. What were the daytime highs? If they were up in the 90's it seems like stuff should've been out, but Diego says it's early for that part of AZ.

Even down here in central AZ where it's been warmer, herps don't really seem to be out in full force. I've yet to see anything on the roads, although some people have started to report movement. Everything I've found so far this year was while hiking/flipping.

Day temps were nice! They were in the upper 80's low 90's. Night temps were all over the place though. Depending where you were at the temps were between 58 and 70 degrees.

I was probably out just a little too soon. I plan to return May 4th. Hopefully then I can find something!

viborero Apr 09, 2007 10:10 AM

Yeah, that's the thing. I'm finding stuff basking outside their dens in the daytime, but the temps are dropping off way too quickly in the early evening.

Early May should be perfect up there. Maybe you should swing through Texas first and gas up!

Definition: Tapography-the geographical layout of all the beer dispenseries in a given area.

Maybe not a typo after all? LOL. May be why there were no snakes to be found.

Jasonmc Apr 11, 2007 12:12 PM

Sounds like a dream come true!
