It looks like this gal is gravid. I bred her to a Patternless. So hope will get good eggs in a few weeks.

Never seen a Great Basin like that! Where was that snake caught from?

She was collected as a youngster about four years ago in north central Oregon.I was lucky enough to scoop her up and after raising her up I put her on Loan with my Good friend Jason.He produced some hets last year from her.
Maybe in (2009) one of the het males will be big and old enough to go back on mom.

Wow! Thanks, Shannon. Probably pretty cool to come across that snake in the wild! Most of the Great Basins I've collected or seen are out in the northeastern part of L.A. County. They look nothing like that. Part of the pattern looks like a faded Pacific. Do they range up into Oregon?
