Can't believe I found these books....

gant77 Apr 08, 2007 02:49 PM

I was going through OLD boxes and I found my Paperback copy of
"The Reproductive Husbandry of Pythons and Boas" published by The Institute for Herpetological Research, Stanford California
Plus I also found 3 "issues" of "Captive Propagation of Husbandry of Reptiles and Amphibians" with dates of 1987,1989, and 1991!
I thought for sure I had lost these books. I am so happy i found them!

should have The Reproductive Husbandry of Pythons and Boas, even if it's an old book still very informative. I learned alot from it!

They do have them on e-bay and they might be available for oder from a "hard to find" type book dealer. I purchased mine back in 1995!

I got a copy of that book in 1993. Great book!
Dick Ross even signed it for me at the IHS in 1995!!!
I should have bought two copies...one for real use... and one to keep in new condition on the shelf.
My signed copy is pretty tattered. (LOTS OF REAL USE) Even though a lot of the latin nomenclature has been changed and some of the information is a little out of date...it remains one of the ALL TIME BEST HERP BOOKS!
So much of the content of that book is still quite valid.
It is a wonderful reference. A true wealth of information. Anyone who keeps Pythons or Boas should own a copy....or two!
