Here is a picture I took at Shed Aquarium in Chicago. Just thought I'd share.

Uhm, that's an Emerald Tree Boa, not a GTP. I can tell by the white markings etc.

The names "Green Tree Python" and the many ways that the Emerald Boas are identified can be very confusing to most people without a lot of experience. I did a quick look at the Shed Aquarium site to see if I could find this beautiful Emerald Basin Boa listed among it's exhibits.

The Shed Aquarium has a great site and a real interesting display for the Amazon Rising area which is where I believe this one must have been displayed at the aquarium.

It's a beautiful snake even with the mistake on id, thanks for sharing! I'd go ahead and post in the boa forum too... there are folks there that would like to see it I'm sure!!

Could there have been a Chondro in their with the ETB that was missed?

Woah, I'd hope not! One of them would end up dead if they were in the same cage!

I agree though, it's a really nice snake.

The St. Louis Zoo routinely keeps chondros and emeralds together to show the differences between the two. They've never had an incident that I am aware of.
