My Little Girl was diagnosed with autism when she was just 1.5 years old.She is almost 4 now and is doing pretty well.Just thought I would share this part of my life with some of my friends. And yes,her name is really zonata.

Shannon,
Thanks for sharing. My son Bryan is going to be 13 next month. He is a low functioning autistic child. He can't talk but he communicates excellently. I can't do the picture thing yet but when I can I'll post one. Whenever I work in the snake room he brings out his extensive collection of plastic and stuffed toy snakes. He's a blessing to us.

Pat,That is so awesome.Zonata only has about six to eight words in her vocab but she understands pretty good. She doesn't do real well in public but thats getting a little better also. She loves spending time in the snake room also switching all my labels on me and putting shavings in her hair.LOL....
I don't know what I would do whithout her.

here is a pic of me with the other four girls flipping rocks in Yucca Valley last year.

Silver is an unusually beautiful name to.

Now I have to think up a new snake related name should I ever have another daughter. I can't think of anything prettier than Zonata though.

Getula...no

Thanks Rainer. We call her zoe for short or zo-bug.LOL...I also like the name alterna and that would be pretty cool.I am sure that ally would be a great nick-name for alterna.

That has to bne one of the coolest names ever Shannon and she is a cutie. As anyone who knows me knows I talk a lot about my wife and kid,my little Lily here spends the majority of her time with me and I wouldn't have it any other way and yes.........she loves snakes.
