I accidently came across a photo of a BRB on the internet one day and I thought it was the most beautiful snake I had ever seen. After three months of internet research, separating fact from fiction, I made the decision to buy one. I obtained a lot of good information by lurking in the background on this forum. Thank you Dave, Jeff, Bob, Frank and the rest of you for all of the useful information. I don't know if it's male or female. It's name is Blue.

to the forum. Looks like your research paid off, that BRB is drop dead gorgeous!! Serious score, who produced that gem? One I'd be proud to have in my collection. And that's saying a lot, since according to Bob, I have a "distinct" collection!

If you're curious about sex, send it to me and I'll let you know once it breeds what sex it is. Sorry but this is a closed colony, only babies are allowed out so I'd have to keep him/her. I do "retire" the occasional breeder, some quite young, when I have a hotter replacement! So I could retire yours back to you in a decade or two.

Oh yeah, you're most welcome for any help I gave you!!

hi welcome to the forum! we are in the same boat. I am new too i saw my first rainbow boa a year and a half ago, and since then i have spent an inordinate amount of time researching them and buying them and building cages for them and loving them and cleaning up way too much urine. (how does such a small snake pee so much?!) I agree they are the most beautiful not hot snakes in the world! (the most beautiful snake in my opinion is the Varible Bush Viper hence the name if you dont believe me check out this link http://www.thegardensofeden.org/Web%20Sub%20FOldes/DANS%20World%20Web/pages/MDK_H_SN_atheris%20squamigera_Variable%20Bush%20Viper_002_grayside.htm Anyway This is my baby I named him Mercutio, and I bought him from Jeff (who has been a world of help!)

cool looking but I have to say that I like the Gaboon Viper they are drop dead gorgeous but fat like ball pythons and I hate those so it is fat like a rattlesnake then If you want a anery from Dave step in line behind me please unless you're getting a female then cuz I need a male so you could have just moved up a spot
Bob

Sorry Dave, you can't have it. I've seen your collection and I think you have enough! I don't know who produced it. The place where I bought it had no information on it other than it just came in on a trade and was 6 months old.

I took Blue to the vet today for a wellness check. Everything is good except the fecal check that was done after I left. I just got a call from them stating Blue has some internal parasites. I am going back Wednesday to get it dosed. Doesn't seem to be a big deal.

I just have one question. What does n/p mean?

Paul

someone traded that thing in, boy they must have catarax or must have been on the cure for it but I still would have seen the beauty so maybe they are just plain stupid but their loss in our gain (cuz I get to see the pics too) haha lol Paul. n/p= nice post btw I don't remember helping u out but u are most certainly welcome. Keep them pics coming and yes Dave has to many snakes. He'll have about 300 of 'em in 5 years
Bob

Darn, I would like to know who produced it. Ah well, sure you don't want to send it here, I have some really hot friends for him/her to hang out with.

Kind of like my Savannah, can never see why anyone would let her go, oh well, their loss / our gain.

N/P has several possible meanings,

In the subject line typically means no post or nothing in the body of the message, aka, don't bother opening

In the body can mean either Nice Post or No Problem, you have to look at the context where it was used aka np answering your qustions.

Welcome! That is one awesome boa! Where did you get him/her? I LOVE the high oranges, and it seems you've found a killer. Looks very similar to my young girl, Sable:

Please keep us updated with photos as she/he grows!

Welcome. This is a great place to hang out and get some great info.

Lets say you post a picture or your BRB (which is awsome BTW) and ask "What do you think?"

The next reply headding says "Looks Great....n/p"
It means that your snake looks great, but don't bother clicking on this link because there is No Post to read--n/p=no post.

Did anyone mention that you got a nice looking BRB?

Paul,
..Welcome to the forum. That is an amazing BRB to get as a trade in. How long have you had it? If it has been eating and gaining weight and shedding well for several months I would consider not having it treated for internal parasites.
Jeff

Paul,
Folks here are pretty nice but a bit on the simple side; having two Paul's will cause plenty of confusion. Your going to have to change your moniker.
OK, just kidding (about changing your name of course). Welcome to the forum and continue to post pictures of your beautiful BRB.
The other Paul.

I vote we call you "O-P" or Oppie?

Who all votes yes? Chime in and make this a "hot topic" LOL
