My first litter of boas ever. 5 hypos 5 Anerys? 12 slugs 2 stillborn.(sucks) I think one of the still born was a ghost.
Tell me what you think.

PARENTS

Happy Easter!!!

Very probable Super Salmon #1 w/flash

w/out flash

Very probable Super Salmon #2 w/ flash

w/out flash

Pos Super Salmon #3

Pos Super Salmon #4

Pos Super Salmon #5 (ugly duckling?) It looks like it has more of the orange influence from dad. This one might suprise us all if hes hiding something special from dad.

Are these anerys or really dark normals?

Still born #1 Hypo?

Still born #2 Ghost?

Thanks for looking everyone. Tell me what you think.

Congrats!!! Looks like a nice little pile you got there! I don't know enough to tell you if any are anerys...but hopefully someone will chime in that can. Congrats, and get more pics once they shed!!!

Once again congrats on your first litter, I know how it feels. I believe what you have is a 50/50 litter, Hypos and Normals. To me I see color in the tails, and the ghost look alike is a Hypo also. This is just what I think.

Anery

Ghost

Beautiful looking Hypo babies you got their. As far as the others - they look normal to me (not anerys) Baby normals have a grey(er) body color for awhile. And the stillborn looks to be two hypos. Often stillborn won't develope the body color, and some do. I've had some very very faded stillborns, and yours being a hypo stillborn gives it the ghost-type look.
Again those hypos are real nice. Congradulations.

Brendan nice looking clutch, and for it being your first breeding great job. I am sure you are hook now, and can wait to see what you will try next.

You are saying that they are poss super hypos, so mom and dad are both hypos het anery or the dad is a ghost? I thought that a hypo to hypo breeding would be an all hypo litter with 25% of the litter being super hypos, but I also hard that it would be 25% super hypo, 50% hypo, 25% normal. Can someone help me with this. I'm only asking because I'm a first time breeder and I'm waiting for my poss. supers to be born.
Thanks for the help

the resulting litter probabilities would be
25% super
50% hypo
25% normal

H h
H HH Hh
h Hh hh

Hh= hypo
hh=super
HH=normal

hope this helps you

Well put Bob.
Sorry for the confusion. The mother is not dominant and is a pos het anery. The father is also a pos het anery and I didnt know if he was dominant or not. Since I didnt get any anerys then I can only assume one or both of the parents were not het for anery. Since only half the babies were hypo instead all of them I know that neither of the parents are super hypos (dominant). But since both are hypo then I should have that 25% chance of supers in my results. Im guessing the two that came out REALLLLLYY PINK and light are likely going to be supers.
