does anyone have any substrate ideas for frogeyes i'm looking for something that holds tunnels really well as these guy seem to love it i've used all sorts including playsand washed sand jungle mulch mixed with sand. i just picked up some of that excavature and mixed it with about 3 cups of vita sand and it seems to hold shape but the stuff is wicked expensive in order to make it deep enough any personal sulutions would be great

What I have done is to use split shale and stack it in the bottom of the tank so there are voids and overhangs. The fill up with sand. They will enjoy excavating out the spaces and create an underground world.
