ok iam a newbe to trtle I just got a musk tutle a week ago I have been feeding him goldfish and vegges but today I thought about trying crickets well I put them in and after a few goldfish he got the cricket I only gave him to and watch him till he got them. what dose everyone think about leaving a few in his cage all te time also is live or dead better. iam afraid that the crickets are going to bit him is there any wores also what dose everyone else feed ther musks I want to make sure he gets good nution

I just got 2 Hatchling Musk Turtles today and I fed them Reptomin, but they weren't too enthused, so I dropped a pinhed Cricket in there and they both ate it. I stunned it a little before I put it in there because they havn't mastered eating yet, but they managed. I dont have to worry about pesticides here, so I can just catch the crickets in my yard, I dont know if you were going to use domestic crickets or wild ones, but be careful about pesticides in wild one.

Do it as you described. Throw them in one at a time, and make sure the turtle gets them. You really dont have to worry about crickets biting your turtle. You mentioned you feed your musk veggies?..does it eat them..and if it does, what types does it eat?

well he likes carrots, uncooked potatos, coleyflower? not sure if spelled right also broccil and small corn
