Why is my gravid boa scared of the heat?

reptimals Apr 10, 2007 01:00 AM

hello, I have a lovely central american boa who is gravid but for some reason is staying on the opposite side of the heated part of enclosure and only maintiaining about 82-83 on her gravid area of the body .... she had a very obvious ovulation, a post ovulation shed , and has noticeable swelling just like my other gravid boas .... all my other boas that are gravid in the same rack are staying on the heated side and maintianing between 85-89...

is this the sign of anything that I should be concerned about? is this normal? is this a bad sign?? any input would be appreciated ... THANKS!!

but according to Jeff's website gravid boas tend to between 86-90 even though this doesn't help you but I really would like to know what is going on with her also and I just hope someone with more knowledge on the subject will chime in. I wish you the best with all of your females.
