Enrichment-Any fun ideas for a happy leo

FireTalon Apr 10, 2007 08:19 AM

Has anyone got any ideas that they might/do use to make living in a tank a bit more exciting (and cheap) My leo Darwin likes to kinda climb the walls in a futile escape attempt. I have heard of these things called 'Lizard Ladders' or 'Lizard Hammocks', do any of u guys recommend them? Or is it just gunna be the old loo-roll tube int the tank?(joking) I want the best for him and want him to be a happy, healthy leo
Thanks

Allie

What misers spend, and spendthrifts save,
And all men carry to the grave?

I use one in both of my leos cages. they both are climbers s well and i always find them up there. i made sure to put it next to one if their hides so they have steps to get up and down.

I personally use tp rolls, just because they are cheap and always available. Although the hammocks are cute and like said before if you put it above the hide i am sure they would climb up and hang out!

Thanks for the replies, just concerning of the hammock, would their toes get stuck in the mesh?
Thanks

Actaully i think it's more like plastic then mesh....Which no they wouldn't get stuck!

All the one's I've seen do have small holes or mesh that yes I would worry about safety. I personally use real rock climbing structures held together to avoid toppling by silicone.
