Feeding Question

black_wolf Apr 10, 2007 08:36 AM

If I were to give a large food item by mistake, handling too soon, or whatever and my snake were to throw it up a few days later, how long should you wait to feed it again? And what size food should you do? For the sake of argument let's just say it was adult mouse

NOTE: My snakes haven't regurgitated, i was just wondering for future reference.

I'd wait two weeks before trying to feed an adult and 10 days before trying to feed a baby. I'd offer the snake a food item that is smaller than what it usually eats for the first two or three meals after a regurge. I'd also wait at least 7 days before feeding the snake after it's first post-regurge feed.
