We haven't been posting much lately and we're starting to get a little stir crazy for the season coming up so we thought we'd put up some pictures from the past year of some of our aquisitions and creations... Thanks Kevin! Yeah I've had some time to get back to taking some pictures this week but a lot of stuff is breeding right now so I've been trying to get to animals when they're not "busy". Hope your season is going well!!

Well I can only hope that I can get some eggs soon as this part of the year is so stressful for me..as well as most of us.But its exciting as well,kinda like Christmas

Thanks a lot! The black opals are something that we kind of produced by accident from and interesting looking female that we didn't expect to be anything. It was a very small clutch but we produced two of them this year and next year we will try for a super. I personally think they have codom written all over them but we'll see.

The female that produced them has the same things going on in her but, like most older balls, is much less to look at than the young ones. She's angry and gravid right now so I haven't been messing with her too much but one of these days I will try to get a decent pic of her.

And about the name, the only reason we're thinking of changing it is that the original name for super pastels were "opals" and we didn't want to create any kind of confusion.

Did not know that about the superpastel. Hope you get a super out of this and it isn't white! A glossy, BLACK ball that stays black might be nice but I hope you get something really interesting.

Yeah we're really keeping our fingers crossed for something wacky. The original female is gravid from a yellow belly right now, we think the traits look somewhat similar so we'll see what comes out of that! Hopefully not Ivories, haha.
