Viewable text is "introduced" bill (I'm up to speed now - thanks Troy). It really pisses me off that changes to this bill have not been made public (yet), and that a reasonable bill may have been hijacked and turned into something ludicrous for West Texas.

We need to bombard the committee and our legislators with letters, phone calls, emails and faxes. Everyday all day. Further those that live in TX need to contact their reps for a talk.

In speaking with our reps and senators directly, we should emphasize that we could support the Bill if the ORIGINAL LANGUAGE is reinstated-but that the change to "wildlife" from "game birds and mammals"is devastating for our community.

An exclusion that would allow for live / non-lethal capture and recovery of DORs non-game animals or wildlife. How many times do you thing a family stops at a picnic area and the kids get and chase lizards around. Well now we have an offense under this law, it is to broad and will make criminals out of people that do not deserve it at all.
If we support the original bill in it's form we are still not addressing our interest, We are just doing the duck and cover.
Granted as it was originally proposed would not hurt us, but if we need to make the effort lets shoot for doing it right.

Very good point. What, are they gonna arrest children for catching doodle bugs and anoles at a roadside picnic?
