Out of State Rules at Daytona Venomous

swordsman375 Aug 13, 2003 03:50 PM

Does anyone know whether or not residents of states other than FL. will be able to purchase venomous herps legal in their home states? For example, Georgia residents may keep Georgia native species without a permit, will they be able to purchase Georgia native canebrakes, copperheads, etc. at Daytona?

In Ga you can have native venomous snake without a permit. You cannont have a native non venomous snake. I have been trying to get this law changed. Alot of people agree if the law was regulated on having native non venomous species then it could not hurt. You cannont buy native non venomous snakes in Florida and bring them back. As far as I know you can buy the venomous and bring them back. Would you be interested in supporting the change of the law in Georgia? I don't belive alot of ppl would release a captive bred albino eastern kingsnake animal into the wild and if they wanted to get rid of it they would sale it instead. Email me if you want to talk more about this crazy law.
