Just wondering my rhino iguana that is now 6 months old is hissing and head bobbing side to side at me when i go near his cage,he use to do it at my bearded dragon to,now i’m thinking he must be pretty territorial, or i would say he’s to young for mating season, after 5-9 years they reach sexual maturity,so it isn’t that.He even head bobbed at my dog lol.Tonight i weighed him and he was 354grams and 19'' long and hes 6 months old from Rob Erig. Thanks

hey sounds like a young rhino to me ... he just sees you as a threat , i would try to handle him a tad bit more but do nothing but hold him in his cage for a few mins and the more you do it hold him for longer till you get him out of his cage, give him a few months, i have also a 7 month old and she is as docile as my adult male i got Dennis (Flora & Fauna) great looking animal and a great personality

they will grow out of the head bobbing thing just handle him if you dont you'll have one evil Rhino...

Well to be honest with you i've had him since december, and i didn't hold him for like 3 weeks to let him settle in.But since january on i hold him almost every day.He fine outside the cage but he does this once in a while. But i have a bearded dragon in the same room that i was keeping for a friend for a month and i think he saw him and then he would start the head bobbing the hissing etc.But now the bearded dragon is gone he's fine. The rhino is great i can pet him in his cage and he's as calm as can be.I think myself he seen that bearded dragon and thought that was a threat.I'll tell ya he shore likes to eat and i soak him like three times a week and he seems to like that. The only other thing is he will poop sometimes when i go to take him out of his cage. And also thanks for replying back by the way. Thanks again by the way for your help.
