Reticulated health question

hueghy Apr 11, 2007 03:29 PM

I have recently aquired some retics for breeding purposes.(My first time dealing with the species)
1.0 lav albino, 5ft
0.1 0 het albino 5ft
0.1 tiger 0 albino 11ft

The two smaller ones pee the same way my balls always have which is mostly piss sack and some liquid. The larger tiger het pissed a massive pile last week and I thought nothing of it. Today she pissed about a gallon of liquid and a tiny pack.

My question is simply is it normal for retics to do such a thing or should I take her to the vet?

bigger the retic, the bigger the piss, and they often piss within a day or two of a good sized meal, then several more times before they defacate, two large rabbits equals lots of piss and a defacation you thought a horse left behind.

Yeah, she left a large dry piss 5 or 6 days after she ate a rabbit then 9 days later I gave her 2 large rats then 3 days later a very wet piss.

Thanks for the reply, if that is normal then no worries. Just something I havn't seen to that extent.

you should let her crap before you feed her more, if you feed them too much without letting them completely digest you will notice bloat by the back half down to the tail, this is not good for them, slow down the feeding till they drop the load and let out that urine.
