In general, black rats aren't difficult to get feeding.. But, you've given us no information at all. How are you keeping them?
I'd say- for WC adults, a minimum of a 30 gallon aquarium. Hot spot in the 80s, cool end room temp. Water dish, and hide boxes. As long as you provide these necessities, they should eat without a problem.

I have never had a black rat not eat..... When I was younger (with no experience)I would catch black rats that were 6' , throw them in a 10 gallon aquarium, set them on the floor and they would eat every time. You should elaborate on the conditions in which it is being kept and how large it is. Also the temps and # of hides.

I've never had a black rat refuse a mouse either.
They never even refuse frozen/thawed on first attempts.
When I have had black rats they were always my dispose-alls. If one of my other snakes refused a meal I could just throw it in with one of the black rats. Never had to throw anything away...lol

If you are right and they/it are black racers...then I'm not surprised if it isn't eating. Not worth the effort either...I just do not like black racers. AT ALL...lol

What's not to love? Just pack plenty of band-aids and an eye patch and you will be fine!
