Hello all ,This is my first post to the dart forums .
Ive been breeding Crested Geckos ,Gargoyle geckos and Bearded Dragons for about three years now .Which took over a entire room .
Last year my young son wanted his own''thing'' and we started out with a couple of darts. That has turned into several pairs in basic setups . Which of course resulted in wanting a nicer setup..lol (and a risk of vivs taking over another room ...
So I put together a heavilly planted octagon tank with a fake wall , water feature , and water fall (well trickling down the wall) that at least to me looks fantastic! I even have a nce springtail population flourishing .However the water as it filters through the substrate pics up a ugly yellow color after about a day .Im guessing this is tannis leeching from the substrate? (Substrate being the brick material sold for darts). As ive made the pump behind the wall capable of being run out of the tank to do water changes Ive flushed it several times. But within a day it is yellow again...
In about a month ild ike to add some young frogs .My question is can this discolored water harm darts in any way?
