Egg laying

Uromastyxnoobie Apr 12, 2007 09:42 AM

I;m new to the world of Uromastyx and am pretty sure I have a female. (Kinda just tan in color with a light face, doesnt seem as big as most pics of males I've seen online.)

My question is, will Uromastyx females still develop and lay eggs if they arent in contact with any males?

Most of them, yes. They will lay infertile eggs, if they are healthy and kept up to par.

Welcome and glad to have you.

They just won't have those "oh so beautiful" red eyes on them!

How many times a year and during what time of year is egg laying normal?

Once a year after brumation, usually around now or within the next month or so.
