About that egg......

kellybee Apr 12, 2007 03:52 PM

I have one remaining egg from the clutch that Elvis laid, it has a little mould growth on the top that I have been told I can wipe off with a cotton bud, it grows back every night, but I keep wiping it off gently in the mornings. Anyway, I put it into a new tub of clean vermiculite today, with bottled water, and took the lid off, but I candled it once it was in the new tub, for assurance I wasnt wasting my time.

Anyway, I can see a clear red blob directly underneath the mould, I dont know if it is a shadow or what, but then I saw for the first time a bright pink vein under the top of the shell too. I wonder, do the veins turn colour when dead? I'd think if it had live blood flowing through it would be pink, and if it was dead it would be brown or disintegrate right?

Any suggestions? IS this a positinve sign of life?

yoru seeing Kelly ! Is the egg still nice and plump? You can also try a little athletes foot powder on the spot of mold and see if it will stop it. It usually works.

I have never used it but know many who have.

I have no idea what scope is either, but I'm going to buy some foot powder today, and by the looks, I have to looks of things I have to keep an eye on Maggie, she has burrowed herself a little tunnel in her lay box, and barricaded herself in, exactly the same as Elvis did 3 weeks ago today

Scope is just another mouthwash like listerine. Johneee knows these things as his breath knocks out the collareds when he walks into the room. The collareds GAVE him some, LMAO

They used to say "medicine breath" all the time describing the nasty flavor of the old Listerine mouthwash.

Now if they had shown someone rinse out their mouth, then proceed to dab a little on some collared lizards eggs...THAT would have been amusing and likely would have sold more mouth wash.
