Since relocating to Chicago I no longer breed my own rodent so no longer providing fresh food for my snakes. My question is to those who have switched from fresh to frozen. Did the smell of the feces become more potent? I notice when cleaning today the smell is disgusting, not that it was ever pleasant. When thawing the rats they did not smell bad so just wondering if they digest a bit different.

hey miller, my snakes stools are not any different that i can tell anyway from f/t vs.live, but i can say there is a differance in digested rat vs digested mouse peeeeeee,ewwwwwwwwweeeeee or maybe its simply volume ewwwww! how gross is that,,,,,,,,,,,thomas

HAHAHHAHAHA. Thomas I just cleaned up another crap load just before I read this. Maybe it's me but that smell from F/T is just putred! I really don't think the rats are bad just a very different "byproduct" Hey, I may want to get one of Pits babies from that Eastern. Let me how they turn out.
