I wonder if anyone can help me?
I am in the process of gathering data and specimens from the Ptyas genus.
I am struggling to locate data on the following animals let alone specimens:
Ptyas dipsas (similar in appearance to black G.jansenii which i DON'T want)
Ptyas luzonensis (not a clue what these even look like, i have few scale counts)
The third species causing me a lot of trouble is Ptyas pantherinus. Aparently this animal is from Guyana but all i can find are old (ie 19th century) references. I have a feeling it is actually a coluber species but i can't prove that either way.
So if anyone can offer up any help with this i'd appreciate it. I won't hold out hope though, they seem to be an overlooked genus.
If anyone knows of someone who would be willing to find me species from this genus legally i can have them exported to me.
Other than the species mentioned i am interested in all the other species but ONLY if they are from remote regions.
