Brainstorming...Petition?

maxrr Apr 12, 2007 09:07 PM

First, I just wanted to put my two cents in and let everyone know I've been following this thing the whole way; I just don't post much. I've emailed the Lt Governor and Senator from my district and would be willing to do more to help out in this fight. I'm definitely a fighter and this bill makes me sick to my stomach. To think that something I used to do as a kid that gave me so many good memories could actually become illegal? What's happening to our free country? And to think, I'm in the Air Force fighting for those so-called freedoms.

Anyways, I was brainstorming about somehow compiling a list of all the people opposing this bill and their contact info. I'm sure there are quite a few people who do more reading rather than posting, like myself, and I feel like it would be a good idea to know what kind of numbers we have behind us. It might also help in the future if people need to be contacted who live in specific areas, like Austin, where they could be a physical presence in this fight. Anyways, like I said, just a brainstorm. Count me in...

Actually a long petition with names would probably be a good thing in addition to letters and phone calls, etc.
