So far we have tons of posts, lots of letters/faxes/calls to politicians, several calls for an professional (atty or lobbyist), and plenty of offers to donate cash.
However, is anyone able to step up and spear head an organized reponse to this? We need detailed contact lists (for politicians, retailers, and herpers). We need a legal/lobby fund for donations and to pay for postage and professionals. We need to hire a lobbyist and/or attorney. We need a well written petition so that we can all collect signatures. We need to create some fact based documentation of the financial impact of roadside herping. We need a central clearing house (other than reading through the tons of posts here) for info about this bill and the fight against it. We need a group of delegates that can appear as needed and where needed.
