Like kid waiting for Christmas.....

run26neys Apr 12, 2007 10:53 PM

This weekend I will have my brb and spotted python sexed. My fingers are crossed that they are girls, so I can pick up an 07 male for each.

Looking at the tail my python, it just may well be a girl The brb was 'palped' lightly during the vet visit (in my house) with no signs of being male, but with it just getting ready to shed so it was handled as little as possible. My vet is a good freind of my wife's and the vet specialized in exotics. Thus, the initial vet check was for overall health, and she is at our house at least once a month.

But in the end they are like kids and will be loved just as much if they turn out to be boys.

The only downside if they are boys - I will have to buy girls and wait a year longer before I can post pics of snake porn.....

My only experience with breeding less than 2.5 year old BRB males didn't work so may not make a difference!!

Thanks for this info. Now I just may have to sucker you or Jeff out of a hold back to find a mate for my brb....

My brb is a very early 07, so now I know male or female would not make much of a difference- I just need another of the opposite sex.

Well, I can't speak for Jeff but I have NO 2006's left that I will part with. Have a few still waiting for shipping and one holdback pair I will be keeping. Should be having some really nice babies this year, have a lot of hot snake sex going on between some outstanding adults.

I was kidding about getting a holdback from you or Jeff, but I wouldn't turn one down. I feel you both have great animals.
