I don't know why...but I feel like showing you guys a picture of Isis...my pet rat. Bred to be a feeder...bought as a pet....I adopted Isis last month. She knows her name, and comes running when called.

Get over it Scott, it's a stinking rat, classified as vermin. Even the tree huggers would set out traps and/or poison bait to rid themselves of an infestation of wild ones. I have lots of cute ones, Blue, blue hood, seal point various other hooded and solid ones. They can be very friendly and I'm sure could make good pets. The cute ones get turned into food just as easily as the nasty ones.

And yes, that's an old joke, still works amongst this crowd!

Over 5 dozen rodents (mostly rats) moved from the relative comfort of the rodent factory to various snake tummies within this last week alone. Does that mean I don't like rodents? Nah, just understand their place in the food chain.

...you DO realize I was joking with you right? Hence the LOLs.

I understand their place in the food chain. I kill rats every week.

Dave's mean, your lack of compassion forces me to cite you 100 demerits! Yes, I am the Rainbow Boa Police, now for your fine, you must within 15 days delta/dash or fed ex Diablo to me. BTW I must be off to defrost some freezer space stealing fodder. I had a pet rat for 1 day, he was soooo cute, pooped on me 10 times in 6 minutes, suddenly he became no so cute and somehow meandered into a bad situation. Even though rats are considered very intelligent, he ignored my advice about, "the colorful looking play toy" in that luxury 6' by 4' by 18" apartment, and to think he thought he was upgrading from that very small habitat viv. Shortly after ignoring my advice he made his move to what he figured was better living arrangements, but was sadly taken by surprise by a "cage thug" whilst playing in his new out of ground swimming pool, quite an upgrade from that noisy bottle on that primitive wire looking thang from his previous living arrangements, sad such a "nice" rat became another statistic in this cruel world of give and take ***sobs*** very sad indeed.
If he had not ignored my friendly advice, sniff, he very well may still be here with us.

mearly sending you Diablo, That would take so long 10'S of thousands of seconds for the package to arrive. I can do this in only a few seconds. I'll consider this as payment of fine in full......

i had a smart rat like that years ago, came when called and then fed off for a job well done. Havn't found another one like that in smarts though. Glad even. It's awsome when you have a rat that can do that, more freedom time.

...TRAINING!!! Any rat can learn his or her own name! I trained Isis by calling her name whenever I offered her food dish or a treat. Isis learned to associate the name with the offering of food.

She only does this in her cage...outside it's a completely different story lol.
