TP&W's White List

saddleman Apr 13, 2007 09:41 AM

Below is a link to a proposed list of herps and mammals that we will and will not be able to collect. The changes seem to be aimed mainly at turles and would protect every speicies in Texas. The list of snakes that can be collected, I don't think, has changed.
Take a look.

You will still be able to collect any non-T&E herp in Texas, including most to the turtles. However, you will not be able to commercially collect those species that are not on the White List.

For Example, Gray-banded Kingsnakes, Bairds Ratsnakes, etc, may be collected and sold commercially.

Slimy Salamanders may be collected but not sold.

TX Blind Salamanders, as T&E, may not be collected or sold.

Ok, that's the WHAT. Is HOW and WHERE the White List herps are collected still the problem?

How and where does still seem to be the problem or at least OUR problem.
