Hey,
I like the set up except for a couple of things, the mulch, I think will eventually cause problems with cleanliness as bloods urinate quite a bit after meals and in between. You will have to replace quite a bit of it over the course of time. Also, the bulb cage could also, be a potential trap for the blood if on a nightly food foray, it decides to inspect it. It could get caught or trapped in it. An over head heat panel is a much better choice. JM2C!

The light is gonna get covered with screen wiring so she doesn't bother it. She hasn't shown interest in her light in the past but it was also sitting on the top of her tank separated by screen. I'm gonna look into the rhp's though. As for the bedding I use it in all of my cages. It has it's it's downs being a lil messy but it holds moisture well and doesn't mold. She also likes to burrow in it. It's the best thing I've used so far as cypress is scarce in my area. Thanx for pointing those things out though.

Hey Striggs,
I agree, I like the look of mulch better than news paper, but the cleaning is always a trip and the amount of urination is sometimes easy to miss. I don't blame you for wanting to use it, of course, it's your choice. It is nicer looking and they love it too. I used it for a few years while my first bloods were growing up and they loved burrowing in it; ambush predator's that they are. All right good luck with the girl.
