feeding question

mmh Apr 14, 2007 12:44 AM

over the winter i had turned off my undertank heater and reduced the amount of mice that i fed my snakes. Last month i turned the heat back on and started feeding my female snow corn once a week. She wants to eat 2 to 3 times a week. Should i feed her more then once a week?
Thank you.

Unless you are talking about an '06 baby (in which case, you could feed every 5 or 6 days if you want), I would stick to a once a week schedule. Make sure that the prey item is large enough to leave a small lump, or if you are getting rid of smaller prey you can feed two at a time. That's not to say you can never give an extra meal now and then. Usually happens at my house when I thawed out more than I needed, so one of my really good eaters gets a bonus. Just dont let 'em get too FAT. Duffy
