Northern Box keepers

NajaAnja Apr 14, 2007 12:49 PM

Hey guys,

I just moved to the colds of Wisconsin and was wondering if there are any keepers in the area that could give me a few tips on keeping my Boxies outdoors here. I know of course they will come in for the winter, which they did in AR as well. Any setup pics?

Thanks

Box turtles only need a secure and predator proof housing to live outside and can be placed there when temperatures warm up. I take my turtles outside when the night time temps stay above 50 and the days get above 65. I know people in Alaska who house their turtle's outside during the warm months You can see some pens in the housing chapter of my online book- www.boxturtlesite.info/housing.html
