There is no Super version of the spider, its a Dom trait, The Super Black Pastel is the Sold Black/Brown Patternless Ball, Same as the Cinnamons, Which has been proven...

I don't think its weird...But I do think it would look like a solid whitish Ball...

The Dark areas of an Albino show up as white where the lighter areas show up as yellow, So my guess is with a solid dark ball the albino version would be more solid white...But who knows..I guess we will find out soon...

It will be interesting to see what one will look like...Will it be more solid white??? or Solid Yellow...like a Banana Ball???

I think anything is possible when i comes to genetic morphs in this hobby/buisnesss that what makes it so exciting/adventursome/and most important fun.

joshhutto Apr 15, 2007 12:39 AM

we have all heard the rumors that the albino super black pastel has been done, but no pictures, hmmmmmmm. Now I do not doubt the Bell's word but if i produced that snake you bet I'm showing it off unless there was something majorly wrong with it. But regardless, I'm almost sure we will see one or a few come from Gulf Coast Reptiles this year as they are the only ones in the world with a breedable albino black pastel.

I can understand someone not revealing the picture of an animal that is a new morph for a specified time , we all have to rember that for some this is not just only a hobby its also a buisness and if you have created a new morph it only benefits you to advertise it and let peoples imagination and excitement run wild before you revealed your new piece of living art this drives the value of the animal up and is a great marketing stragey and I would do the same thing, this is a stragey that is commonly used by many others and it is proven and works very well.

adamjeffery Apr 15, 2007 12:10 PM

in the same regards if you tell everyone about a new morph way before you start producing sellable babies then the major buzz about the new morph is gone before the babies can even be sold. this in turn makes the new morph a few years old and the price drop could be substantial

People said..i think bhb had a super spider.
then it died, nothing came of it.

I know what a super black pastel is.

jamesw Apr 15, 2007 08:13 AM

The topic died, not the snake, my bad.

As I remember it, a couple of months before Daytona '06, people started to talk about Brian (BHB) having produced a "super pinstripe". I don't recall the talk of a "super spider". The "super pinstripe" was a heavy topic until Daytona rolled around and then there was no "super pinstripe" to be found . All I am saying is that there are alot of people who speculate on alot of things, most of whom are just hoping for the best . Anything IS possible in this hobby turned business, but has anybody ever seen the "albino super black pastel"????

BHB is waiting to find out if the Super Pinstripe really is just that. They have to breed it to a non-pin and produce all pins. I guess whatever litter it was in it could have been another morph or a pin combo so they aren't certain that it is a Super and want to prove it without a doubt before showing it off.
It would not look good to show it off as a Super have people buy Pins with the hopes of making one and then it turns out it wasn't a Super Pin afterall.

Those are really good points Chris. I bought a male pin last year for $3700 and I know I saw at least 2 very recently posted for $1500 It may have been the same post that was listed twice, but I remember being shocked to see one priced sooo low. I really hope they can prove it to be a co-dom

I remember I bought a mojave male as a baby back in late05 and paid around 5K for him and look at them now its terrible, and this is going to be his first year producing. But hey you got to love what you do or you will go insane.

My opinion is that there probably is a super pinstripe, but that it is a fatal gene, meaning they don't live long out of the egg...OR something along those lines, and before they release this new morph, the people working with this morph would want a living super to survive more than a short time....If that means outcrossing, or whatever...But then again, it could be a good excuse to keep the Pinstripe market up there, as the spiders have seen a major price drop this year, and dangling a Super form out there for the pinstripes might help keep thier prices up in the thousands....instead of hundreds like the spiders....But then again...I this is only my opinion...and mean no hard feelings tward anyone...
